- FOMCAS stands for Friends of Middlesex County Animal Shelter. FOMCAS exists primarily to encourage a strong adoption program for animals impounded in the shelter operated by the County of Middlesex Department of Animal Control.
- FOMCAS is a volunteer, non-profit organization formed to help the lost and abandoned dogs in the shelter. We will be a tax-exempt 501(C)(3) charity. FOCAS assists these dogs in a variety of ways:
providing compassionate, caring volunteers to work in the shelter
arranging weekend adoption events
advertising animals for adoption
paying some of the veterinary costs and adoption fees when a responsible adopter needs assistance in order to adopt a shelter animal
insisting that all animals receiving assistance be spayed or neutered
operating a limited foster home program for a few animals from the shelter
providing shelter upgrades to improve conditions for impounded animal
promoting public education concerning responsible, committed pet ownership
fund raising

Much remains to be done. We need your help now. Support us by volunteering, making a donation, or better yet, by doing both!

The perfect place then must be found-
The home where you can live
Secure and safe and happy-
With joy to get and give.That's the time the Lord sees you
And lets you know He's there.
That's when He sends His messengers-
The hearts that love and care.
When you reach your Forever Home,
Your place to feel whole,
The Angels smile, and off they go-
