Just remember, once you’re over the hill, you begin to pick up speed.

LAST WEEK… Fearless Leader O. B. gaveled the group to order at 7:30 and John McKone led us in prayer and The Pledge of Allegiance.

Our guest speaker this week, Mary Lib Hoinkes, led us through the breakfast bar.

Welcome back to fellow carpooler Preston from his trip to Baja Oklahoma.

Bill Karry gave us a Rotary Moment on restoration of the birthplace of Rotary.

Dennis announced that the “Thank You” concert by the MHS band at St. Clare Walker School on Sunday went well.

Fernando brought us up to date on his proposed advertisement to celebrate Rotary.

MONTE CARLO AT THE RIVAH IV… Only 75 days to go.  We still need volunteers for major task management.

HAPPY DOLLARS … From Jerry to

congratulate Fernando for his Rotary enthusiasm.

From Carolyn to thank Mary Lib for her help with the YMCA Guardian program.

From John McKone to celebrate his birthday.

From Dan to announce his busy summer at Christchurch School.

Chuck introduced our speaker, Mary Lib Hoinkes.  Mary Lib could have talked to us about the YMCA Guardian Program or about her career area of expertise, weapons proliferation, but she chose to talk about political correctness.

Men and women are not the same and they approach a problem from different perspectives.  These differences should be acknowledged, understood and used.

A thought-provoking program.

John Wake won the 50/50 raffle but didn’t draw the Queen.  He led us in reciting the Four-Way Test and O.B. adjourned the meeting at 8:30.

THIS WEEK… Regular Meeting.  Carolyn will speak to us on the Virginia Leukemia Society.

NEXT WEEK…  SPECIAL EVENING MEETING!  Joint

meeting with the KIWI Club June 30 at the Rappahannock Yacht Club in Irvington.
